flossiepom
Hello everyone! We are still waiting to hear back about our 457 visa, but we are hoping to be there by the middle of September. The school for my 5yo is V important and to narrow it down we need a catholic primary that does out of hours care, we've found a few and the one that we are favouring is the Holy Sprit School at City Beach. there seems to be some great areas around there, but having never been I'm struggling! I know Scarborough attracts tourists, but does anyone know what it's like to live around there? THANKS!
Jen_PFR
Ooooh City Beach is very nice - one of Perth's old established suburbs which is quite pricey to live in, whether you rent or buy. Scarborough is also nice, a bit further up the coast and still quite expensive. If you're in either of these then you're doing okay! Try having a look on www.realestate.com.au and put in the suburb for costing of rentals and places for sale.
flossiepom
thanks for the reply! I did look at Ocean Reef too, near Joondalup, but the school there is pretty big for a primary, over 600 children. My little one is currently in a class of 18 so that might be a step too far... whats your opinion of Ocean Reef and the surrounding areas? Many thanks
newjez
Scarborough is a bit of a hard to define suburb. I prefer Trigg which is next door - but they aren't cheap. You could also look at Carine - or anywhere up the coast. They are all pretty ok up the coast. Here's a site I found quite useful http://www.aussiemove.com/city/city.asp?c=7&f=
