Guest Shiela88
Hi all , new to this, I am moving to Perth in September of this year and I am looking for any help at all. There is a group of 6 (3 couples) moving over and I am wondering could anybody on here recommend an area to live. We all intend on getting Jobs but would like somewhere lively with things to do after work and at the weekends and would also like some place with good nightlife and maybe near the beach. We have booked into a hostel for the first 11 nights until we find something. Also I have a business degree and I currently work in retail in Ireland do you think it would be easy to find work? Any help at all would be great. Thanks
Jen_PFR
Hi Shiela, and welcome to the forum! You didn't say what age you all are but you sound like you're about mid-20s, no kids? Scarborough probably fits the bill in terms of things to do after work & on weekends, and it's definitely near the beach! It's also one of the beachside suburbs that's closer to the city, a key area for jobs. (It probably takes about half an hour by bus trip to get from Scarborough into town or Northbridge.) Anyhow I'm sure others will be along with other suggestions as well. You'll also find when you get here that you'll get an idea fairly quickly of where you'd like to be I suspect. newjez
Start at the Subiaco / Cottesloe / Leederville types areas and keep moving up the coast till you are happy with the rental prices - or you could try Fremantle.
