Guest kelly081
Hi everyone I'm Kelly and hope (fingers crossed) to be heading over to WA next year. The only (huge) problem is I have no idea where to live or even to start looking! I will be seeking work from the hospitals there in Nedlands which I understand is really expensive so that area is out! I really need an area a commutable distance to hospitals, ideally close to the beach and a good high school for my 12 year old son. Anyone have any ideas where to even start? Oh and a place with a skateboard park would be icing on the cake apparently! I would like paradise but do not have a paradise budget so any ideas at all would be great! Thanks loads! verystormy
First of all, is there a particular reason why you are looking at working in Nedlands? There are lots of other options. If you are going to be living on a single wage then living in Perth can be VERY expensive. You might want to consider hospitals away from the city centre that allow you to live and work in a cheaper area. Have you thought about Mandurah hospital. Living costs are a LOT cheaper than Perth, but Perth is still only a 50 min train ride away - costs about $12 return and close to the beaches. Oh, and there are skate parks
