Tosh105
Hello PerhPoms!! Long time reader, first time poster! i have been using this site to gather as much information as i can in the run up to my big move. i will be making the move with my girlfriend and our cat (once she spends her hard time in Byford). I will be working in Welshpool and i won’t have a car for the first few months so i am looking to stay within a reasonable distance from work so that i can get public transport the areas i have been looking at are Victoria park, and shenton park i had been looking at Northbridge but i have read some negative feedback(is it really that bad?) Anyway to get to my question i have read some conflicting information on what utility bills you pay when renting so could one of you lovely people please tell me what other bills you have to pay when renting? Thanks in advance. Tosh:wink:
riboid
I paid, average $100 a month for electricity. Just me in the house just now, so, maybe double that when family comes over. I know some people who pay over 700 a month! But, they must be powering starship enterprise or something. Not had gas bill in yet. Hope this information helps. Guest Stu
There's two of us (plus dog) in a fairly big house, and we pay about $120 in electric, $50-60 in gas, and maybe $30-50 on water depending on the time of year. You do not pay the council fees for water (its included in the rent), just the useage fees. Northbridge isn't anything like as bad as you would see in the UK on a Saturday night, but there is still a bit of noise. There are areas in Vic park which are a bit down and out, but there's nice areas as well. If you look around the areas nearer the Canning highway I think they're a bit better. Not too sure about Shenton. There is a bus transfer station at the junction between the Canning Highway and Albany Highway, I think most buses going out of town from there will head in the Welshpool direction.
