Guest Ali_M
We used a specialist emigration policy from Downunder insurance. duinsure.com I think.
phil
I can't remember who we went with, but I think it was http://www.go-walkabout.com/. It gave us a hefty lost-luggage/delayed flight allowance and covered us for several weeks after landing for healthcare (until we'd had a chance to set up private cover here). Lots of the "normal" policies we checked couldn't compete with the figures and crucially, had all sorts of exclusions if you were migrating e.g. no healthcare after arrival. Silly things like being covered for lost luggage, but they'd only return it (if found) to a UK residential address. Well worth checking the small print and figuring what you're actually covered for.
