New to Perth....anyone up for a beer or even some 'soccer'?

Hi all,

 

I have been in Perth for 1 week and loving it so far, however it would be good to meet up with people as I came over on my own.

 

I'm a single 29 year old lad, would be glad to hear from anyone who likes a bit of social drinking and also anyone who plays a bit of casual footy. Could also be interested in Sunday league football if anyone knows of teams looking for players?

 

I work FIFO but have the weekends off including every other Friday.

 

Other interests are motorsport, I plan to get myself a dirt bike once settled. Also interested in trying most sports and anything outdoors/active.

I arrived over to Perth myself a couple of months ago and I would be interested in meeting some new people with similar interests. I'm a big football fan and I play 11-a-side. I also enjoy a couple of beers now and again.

In a similar boat to all - Arrived Sunday morning early on. Still Jet Lagged but will be heading over to Freemantle on Sat/Sunday.. hear the Sunday sessions are good? Good for me.

 

A bit of advice for newcomers... Take your passport out if you've not got an Aussie drivers license yet, as they have often asked me for ID even though I'm 31 (and I don't look like a teenager anymore - I hope!). Also, don't wear a sports shirt or flip-flops (thongs is Aussie lingo) either, as they often don't let you in for wearing them.

Cheers for the 'heads up' about clothing, I had wondered what it was like. The thongs thing still makes me chuckle every time I hear it.

It was good to meet everyone who came last night, quite a good turn out in the end!

 

I'm feeling a bit under par today but it was worth it.

Right then, who's up for another get together next weekend?

 

I'm free both Friday and Saturday nights, if anyone is up for it let us know which day is best for you and we can go with the majority?

 

Also if anyone is up for a kick about either Friday, Saturday or Sunday that would be good, I suggest a park somewhere in the centre of town as a venue.
