SaffanZimbo
True irony! We think we have (at last) found a suitable tenant. They are a couple with 17 year old son and they currently live in Australia! Just a pity they were not from Perth or we could have arranged a house swap. Deb
Think we now have tenants for our house, did want to sell but at least we do not have to send a lot of money back each month. Don't want to be in rental forever but its going to take a while to save so we can buy.

Well done Deb! I know how stressful it is, we have now had 2 sales fall through (for different reasons and nothing we could have done anything about!) so are now looking to let, so frustrating but keeping our fingers crossed that we too can find suitable tenants (or someone that wants a quick buy!) Hope it all works out for you!

SaffanZimbo
IKNWC had the ****tiest (excuse the pun) weekend yet! Dishwasher flooded the kitchen on Saturday morning (was an obstruction wedged in the seal!!) then looked out the window to find the back patio awash with sewerage..... neighbours were away and our landlords insurance precludes anything in the first 14 days so gritted my teeth and god the plumbing rods out the shed, made the girls stay inside out of harms way and after 30 minutes cleared the blockage.... A job OH always had to do. Really need to get a camera down the drain as ever since our neighbour built his extension we get a sewerage blockage once or twice a year (suspect the new building work has caused a problem on their side). Loads of bleach everywhere and fairly proud of myself for not throwing up! Sunday went to say goodbye to my 96 year old gran in Hertfordshire and on the way back had just joined the M25 when the car shook and weaved so pulled over - tyre blown (bought a new set 4 months ago!). Couldn't get the wheel nuts loose and didn't have anyone to call so called from the SOS phone who then gave me the AA number (my breakdown insurance expired on 18 August and I didn't renew due to the move....). 40 minutes later AA arrived and fitted the spare in 3 minutes - £180 later...... This morning took the tyre into the local tyre shop and the guy said is was a side wall failure but he couldn't find a nail or metal.... new tyre £79! This week can only get better.... can't it?????? beandownunder
but we've had another amazing day- been to Kalamunda to meet a lovely ex PP'er. Fantastic time with a fabulous lady, who laid on a delicious buffet for us. Followed that up with a dip in the ocean at Hillarys- perfect !! :-) off to the maternity unit later- for a tour, not a baby!
portlaunay
IKNWC but I took my son to Jamie's Italian for lunch today and it was bloomin loverly. The truffle risotto was one of the best things I've eaten in Perth. It was a real treat, I'll definitely be going back. Yum-o!

SaffanZimbo
Signed the Tenancy Agreement yesterday and scanned and posted it off to the Estate Agents. Fingers crossed the tenant signs so that I can finally relax.... I have been so stressed over the past few weeks and the girls have been so well behaved - they really deserve a less grumpy and stressed mum. So over the camping in the house and can't wait to deflate the airbeds for (hopefully) the last time next Wednesday morning. Really miss OH and looking forward to 7th November at 23.23hrs when our plane lands in Perth and we can all be together again!!
