IKNWC but my work contract is up soon and I've nothing lined up yet.

The lease on our property is ending and the owners want to sell so we're going to have to move.....again!

What the hell, we've just booked flights for Bali........again. Life is good, you know?

I had to smile at the 'booked for Bali bit!! Hope you get something fixed up work and house wise

Flying over 31/03/13, arriving 01/04/13 and then I think 'will any shops be open for food'? Better pack a few 'pot noodles' just in case! :biglaugh:

Hey Karen, me thinks you will be too tired when you get here to even 'pot noodle'! Have a safe journey. Remember Maccy Ds is always open!

I know no one will care but we have just shifted loads of junk that my OH has been collecting for years out of his workshop :ssign19:. I do wish he wasn't a welder/blacksmith/motorbike mechanic and a hoarder of tools, how many tools does a man need:arghh:.

Can never have enough tools lol. And I miss my motorbike that I left in UK :ssign3:

IKNWC.... But I'm not feeling the love for Tom Cruise playing Jack Reacher in the new movie. Dont get me wrong i like Tommy boy, but having read the Lee Child books, I don't think he is a suitable candidate, would rather see someone more edgy playing the part like Tom Hardy......niceeeeee! Just sayin.....

IKNWC but I've just realised I'm not 21 any more. Even my hair aches. We thought we'd start the move today, minus the army of friends. "Let's get one load done." We say.

4 long, hot, dry hours it took to load the truck. 4 hours! 3 hours to unload!

My shoulders feel dislocated and I'm scared to sleep in case I can't move in the morning.

At least the new house has a bath.

IKNWC but I think I've fallen in love with Greenmount.

We stayed with some friends there when we were over in Nov (didn't know it was Greenmount at the time) and was taken with the size of properties, large plots and mature gardens. Having been looking at commutable suburbs for some time I was gradually coming to the conclusion that I like the more inland areas. I happened to look up Greenmount on Real Estate.com, realised it was where we

stayed and found some lovely houses that we might stand a chance of affording.

Now I REALLY want that Visa to come through :jiggy:

Reviving this thread because.....

IKNWC but if all goes to plan, this time in six months will be my last day in a job I hate!! Cannot wait to the day I can hand in my notice and watch the looks on their faces!

I was soooo looking forward to leaving my UK job but when I reflect on the day I resigned it wasn't as satisfying as I thought it would be. I didn't expect a scene but I did experience some bitterness and resentment and I realised any thoughts that weren't focussed on the journey ahead were wasted.

IKNWC but this week was a great week.

Son worked really hard on guitar practice and sounded awesome for all the effort, also had a tennis tournament this morning and really enjoyed himself, (4 wins, 2 draws, 1 loss).

Daughter has been working hard at gymnastics and has been advised to begin competition training (she's 6), proud dad.

I bought a picket fence from the architectural salvage yard for $70 so that'll keep the dog off the veggies.

In GT5 I just did a 6.19 lap of the Nordschleife in my Mazda 787B.

All I need now is a Lions win....
