Nikkis2000
Thanks Bean. On the MRI front of its any consolation they charge $300 for one here. An even less pleasant experience! Fortunately my physio told me it would be a waste of time so we're going to see if he can fix me first! Wishing you and yours a fab Xmas and new year too! Rossmoyne
OH would love to do a ride. We are moving to Margaret River on 23 January as OH's job has been confirmed as permanent! We've also managed to find a 4 x 2 rental (private) so things all starting to fall into place. Fingers crossed the car papers from Niddrie Nameplates arrive back next week so that the car can be on the road ASAP. Brilliant news about OH's job..... you will love living in Margs.... I have family there and visit often.... if I didnt have responsibilities in Perth, would move down there like a shot. Hope the rental works out... are you in one of the newer estates or the main town? You will be very happy with the schools too as they are amongst the best government schools that WA has to offer. Hope the rental works out... are you in one of the newer estates or the main town? You will be very happy with the schools too as they are amongst the best government schools that WA has to offer..We have been very lucky to get a private rental a few minutes from the primary school and main street. Its in an older part of MR and the house itself is a fairly small 4 +2 so we'll be putting a few boxes etc in the single lock up garage. The girls are happy as there is a lovely back garden, patio area to play in plus they get their own bathroom and are in a different part of the house to the master suite. OH will be 5 minutes drive from his work at the winery. Now just need to find a fridge as we didn't bring one with so looking at gumtree almost daily to find one to fit in the kitchen and a separate freezer to go into the laundry - will worry about how to transport them later... SaffanZimbo
IKNWCB about to go and watch OH and our host kite surfing. After a few attempts OH seem to be getting the hang of it (excuse the pun!). I think he'll be looking forward to weekends in Margaret River so that he can surf, kite surf and ride his bike - so different to life in the UK when he was a couch potato in winter and only took his bike out in summer when the weather permitted (and it always seemed to be better weather on week days!)#

I rode my bike in summer in Europe and sometimes did indoor sports. In Australia I rode my dirtbike 9 months a year (except during summer) and was surfing 3 days a week 9 months a year (except during winter). Since I'm back in Europe I'm a couch potato again pretty much 8 months a year... Can't wait to pong back to Australia mid 2015
FOL
IKNWCB... I hate homesickness! I love to go back to Australia and I am 99% sure, I just want to make sure I don't fall into that homesickness trap again... Can't do that to my wife. She has been very supportive even though I was an @SS.
Nikkis2000
IKNWCB we had the best time in Kalbarri! Canoed up the river, walked the river gorges to see natures window and did some of the coastal paths, chilled out on the beach, saw the Pelicans being fed and ate lots of scrummy fresh as you like seafood! Awesome place - would highly recommend it for a break! Edited December 31, 2014 by Nikkis2000

I will be back at work for a 2 week contract next week. 800km in land from there - 44 in the shade. And in it 12 hours a day.

Rossmoyne
Just the spent the last week in Margaret River with family...... so laid back and with cool weather. It was 19C when I left this morning after an overnight low of 15C...... have no idea what it was when I got out the car in Perth, just know that I have melted and the pool and aircon are being very much used this afternoon!
