Sadly due to still having the house and not bring in a position to move ASAP he's had to turn it down :-(made us sit up and take stock though, so that's all good and heading in the right direction! @Nikkis2000 exciting but scary!!!! Would it not be possible for him to come and work and you tie up the stuff in the UK. That is what we did when we moved. Hard work but worked out OK in the end. Hard work but worked out OK in the end. ideally, yes, however the salary he would be looking at would not cover our mortgage here and his living costs there too also it could take forever to sell which would mean splitting the family up. unfortunately we're not in a position to come without selling first, thanks though x

Lou8670
That's great news @beandownunder! Hopefully you'll be able to sell the house relatively quickly and hubby will find something else that ties in with your move! It's a shame the offer didn't work out but at least it's allowed you both to take stock. It's sooooo exciting your house is going on the market! I found selling our house the scariest thing! We resigned from our jobs the day contracts passed so there was no going back after that!!! I haven't been on here for a while but so glad I've checked in over the last week! There's lots going on with people I saw starting their journey [emoji1] Fingers crossed for you guys! Sending hugs xxx

Hopefully house sells quickly for you. Good luck.

Guest Guest6235
If you're serious about coming then bean I would sell and then just rent in uk, then if like what has just happened you'll be able to just go when an opportunity arises. This happened to us back in 2009 when we wanted to go to NZ, my wife was offered a job but we needed to sell first, so she had to turn the job down, because as we all know houses can take a while to sell. We rented for the last year before coming here after selling our house and it worked out.

Sorry just thinking that maybe that might have been the wrong decision in these times of less jobs in WA. Good to have your opinion @Rossmoyne- however if we never have another job offer in Australia, we will never regret keeping our little family together. If its meant to happen for us then it will, I'm a firm believer in that....

I remember from something you said a while ago that your husband wouldn't move without a job to come to... which was why I made the comment. As you say, if it is meant to happen it will. From now on, I'll carry a spare inner tube
