odies
IKNWC but just booked the flights for April, no have not sold house yet but need to validate. Booked return not one way just in case then i can cancel return journey < i hope > and it was £2k cheaper return than one way anyway, coming out business, thought it would be nice even if we do have to come back economy but it is on the A380 for the 2 legs,so Perth airport must be ready in May to take these planes. FOL
@JenPen are you a pommie? I thought IELTS would be a piece of cake for a native-English speaker. I can see the challenge in writing and reading though. I guess speaking has to be a 9 out of 9 per definition, right?
JenPen
I am...you'd think but I've seen so many people struggle with it and I panic with tests...so I don't know I might fail [emoji85] hopefully not x
Lou8670
@FOL unfortunately it's not as easy as people think it should be for a native Brit. I did the academic scored 9, 9, 8.5 and 7 and I have English A level and a degree! I struggled with the comprehension...reading then answering questions about what you've just read. I felt like they were trying to trick me. I think it's tricky because I try and interpret the text and read between the lines so I end up filling in the gaps when they want us to answer the questions literally. I did well on the writing but then I was writing reports for government every day where I had to make them easy to understand for the politicians in the room [emoji6] @JenPen practice, practice, practice! Reading, writing and listening! Good luck hun x
FOL
@JenPen good luck! @Lou8670 yeah I can definitely see where you are coming from. That's always a challenge. How about speaking? They just skip that? I can't imagine giving you a lower grade for havong an accent or speaking too fast/slow...?

Lou8670
IKNWC but the kids have a swim meet tomorrow in Harvey's outdoor pool. No one else seems to be worrying about the bushfire only 30km away except me. Should I be worried?
FOL
Looking at the colours (colors? lol) I would say the fire is mostly going towards the east. Doesn't mean you shouldn't worry, I would
