Guest AntP
SOLD I have a UK bought, shipped, registered, compliance-plated, etc 2002 Ford Mondeo in almost perfect working condition. Have recently replaced clutch/flywheel but local mechanics can't figure out nagging power loss issue (their local computers won't talk to it). Is a 2 litre turbo diesel which hums beautifully when on song. Not so happy at the moment and the boss says "spend no more, must go". Reluctant sale for me, as I have driven this all over Europe, but would suit mechanic who knows the beast and will get a terrific car (95350 miles) for a song. portlaunay
If it's a sudden/intermittent loss of power on acceleration it may be the same fault I had on my estate version back in the UK. The camshaft sensor cable needed to be changed on mine to allow it to run a 12v feed rather than 5v. Ford quoted £100 ish but I bought the sensor and cable for about £15 and it was very easy to change. It might be worth trying this before you sell, you could ask more $$ if it works or your boss might change his/her mind. Let's hope it's not the injection system though, eh.
