I'm looking forward to meeting everyone, and partial to a glass or 2 of wine  We went to London last weekend for interview for OH and he got a job offer. Still no news on house sale so looks like we will be renting it so got that to sort out. We are still planning moving in September so looks like there will be a few of us arriving around the same time.

So we've been here just two weeks and gave found a rental so feelng a bit more human. I have a 10 year old and an 8 year old plus a 2 year old ball of energy.

We've moved from the Wirral near Liverpool. We decided on Nedlands as we want to be central and we liked the feel of the neighbourhood.

I'd be really keen to meet up with or without the children just let me know where and when.

Bye for now Angela

Hi everyone, How are your plans Ann, still moving in September? It looks like we will be flying out first week in October. OH's employer has suggested a start date of 15 October (my birthday!) so suggest we arrive on 8 October to give us a week to settle in. I am starting to panic now, there is so much to sort out. Our dog is booked into Byford on 31 October, he flies on 29 October. The house hasn't sold so will have to rent it, but still got to sort that out. My head is reeling at the moment, I don't know which way to turn. :arghh:

My plans are on a go slow with Centrelink at the moment so i think it's going to be October before i get out there now, i changed my flight to the 15th october on your Birthday but if i get the visa before that i will ask for a cancellation, i have rented my house out too and have a nice family living in it, i am squatting in a room at my daughters surrounded by boxes and belongings it's driving me nuts being cramped but needs must. I had the rabies jabs done on my 2 dogs last year but with the hold up with centrelink i had to have another rabies booster and blood test another 260 pounds i could have done without paying, my pet exporter thinks it's going to be December before they can fly out as by the time we get the export/import permits time will be getting on, so my daughter will look after them in the meantime. I suppose the bonus of that is it will give me time to get a rental and settled in a job before they arrive. I feel in Limbo at the moment got so far and can't go any further till my son sorts centrelink out. So frustrating when all you want to do is get going. Never mind we will all have to meet up when we can for a night out in Mandurah and discuss the trials and tribulations of emigrating. Keep in touch Ann

Hello the thewaltons, I agree with Ann the more the merrier. It's very windy and feeling a lot chillier today in the UK so looking forward to some of that Perth sunshine I keep hearing about.

I'm not to sure were Padbury is Ang, but if it's north of the river or a fair distance you can always stay with me for the night if we are having a vino night. Wish i was making it for the 8th october. What visa are you coming on Ang? I am coming on the 143 parent visa, my son is in Harrisdale. Ann:smile:
