Hi Caroline

We havent moved to Perth but are in the next 6 weeks. We are Irish and currently living in Canberra (mid 30's ) We would be definitely be interested in a meetup when we arrive. My hubby was over in Perth a couple of weeks ago to do a reccie and he loved it. How are you finding it so far?

Hi Caroline

We arrived last Tuesday and are currently in a holiday let SOR but will be moving NOR as my hubby has got a job in Malaga. We have hopefully got a place in the north of Bayswater from the end of April (fingers crossed) but will be looking of a holiday let for April NOR (Duncraig was one of or options actually :wubclub:.

We are Richard (38) Esther (35) and we have two children aged 4 and 1. If you don't mind small children we are very happy to get together when we arrive NOR

We like a game of cricket (could be persuaded to a tennis match tho!) and a few very cold beers with a good bbq :-)

Hi there,

We landed from Scotland last week and are staying in Currambine in a short term let at the mo. We are Scott (43), Sarah (37), and have 2 boys aged 4 and 2. If anyone is up for a cuppa that would be great!! It would be great to have some girlie chat and it would be lovely for the boys to meet some new friends.

Hi Sarah

we'd love to meet up with you guys. We will be moving to Dianella on the 2nd April (also the first day Rich starts work) we have a short term let for April until hopefully this house in Bayswater is ready for us. Liam is desparate to make some new friends, I think he is a bit tired of his baby sister.

Have you any idea where you'll settle long-term - its a bit of a nightmare finding long-term lets - we have landed so lucky with this one as long as it all goes through ok.

Let me know when are where you think we could meet up - happy to do any day after the 2nd - we could even do a picnic in Kings Park on that weekend if you fancy it

Est :-)

hi nickym we are not yet in perth but as my hubby has job interview on a 457 it could be quick if all goes well, we to have a 14yr old who is not looking forward to the move .... it would be good to meet up with people with kids of the same age ... has your hubby enjoyed his stay ? how expensive is it really, thats the only worry i have now as am hearing more and more people say how expensive the living costs are ... x

We are a family of 4 myself Charlotte 35, Stuart 39, Eve 6 and Max 2, and we will hopefully be over by October if all goes to plan. Would be great to stay in touch even if you are already over there, as it is really daunting when you dont know anyone.

Hi Est,

I think that weekend Scott is off for the Easter weekend so not 100% sure if we are going to venture away yet - depends on what is happening with finding a long term let. It is a complete nightmare - we need somewhere which will take our dog as well - narrows the pond a bit!

I have been looking at childcare today - that is another headache. Sam (our 4 year old) keeps saying mummy when can I make new friends - obviously I am not cutting it!!

We could meet up on the 4th April if you think you will be settled enough by then?

Hi Sarah

To be honest I completely forgot about Easter - DOH!!!.

The 4th would be good - we'll need to organise where n when - I won't have the car :-( - do you have an idea on where would be good?

Liam is in a similar situation to your little boy - he needs a little friend or two, and to start kindergarden, but until we are settled he can't go.

I don't envy you the task of finding somewhere to live, it is so stressful - when do you have to leave your current place?

Looking forward to meeting u

Est xx
