Guest tinkerbell
I will need a car for work, not essential but hate buses and trains. I will want one asap - is it acceptable to think I may get credit within first month or two? I will be working full time
jamesw
Don't dismiss the train that easily without trying it. They are a million times better than the UK and quicker than driving into the city in the peak hour.
phil
You'll be able to. If you're on a permanent visa they'll want to see proof of income, address all the usual kind of stuff and they may insist on some additional insurance as they've no history of you. If you're on a temporary visa you also shouldn't have issues, but they probably won't do any finance agreement that extends beyond the expiration date of your visa. ryu2000
Try the public transport - although it gets a bad rep out here from the locals I think it is decent. Second hand car market out here is also pretty decent. I don't know if you are into cars (I'm not!) but I roll around in a Hyundia Getz I picked up for a couple grand. Traffic is pretty slow out here so it does the job...
Guest tinkerbell
Brilliant! life would be easier without the assle of a car so might try the public transport route first!
Guest Madison
After about a month of being here in Perth I needed a car to get around in so I just went online and googled cheap car finance perth. I got heaps of replies online but I went through The Loan Panel cause they accepted my Visa and only here in Australia for a short time. I don't have their number but you can google The Loan Panel and it will come up.
