We all went on a horse riding trek in the Bush today (Even our 4 year old was on a Shetland pony!). Lasts 1 hour 40 mins then you go along to an Animal hospital run by this Lovely lady who is a doctor do little type charactor. She nurses injured animals back to health and releases them back to the wild. There is all sorts living in her house. The kids loved it. Contact Forge Farm for details (Owner Wendy) for more details. Recommended.

Glad you enjoyed it. We're booked in for a whole day in the saddle the weekend after next though I don't think it's at the same place. Some friends bought it for us as a going away present so it's been a long time coming.

Well, that was shocking.

The Academy Equestrian Centre, Wanneroo was a very, very poor experience. We thought it was a full day but was just two hours so, no problem, we'll enjoy it anyhow.

Very grumpy reception when we arrived (5 minutes late). Were told we were now 30 minutes late and the grumpy woman insisted she had told us to be there 15 minutes early to complete some paperwork. (She didn't, she left a message on our machine confirming it would be okay for our 5 year old and made no mention of arriving early)

Our two hour "Bush Trail" ride turned out to be an hour being led in single file at walking pace around a paddock. The girl walking in front was actually quite pleasant but it was the most dreadful excuse for a horse ride.

I'm sure there are alternatives around but I'd avoid these guys, it was just awful.

Spent some time at Yanchep National Park today, lovely. Wasbat Heathcote Park, Applecross this week meeting friends, what a lovely view across the river. Read that the building used to be a hospital for mental health patients. Had a lovely day.

So much to do, would like to see Dolphins, wheres the best place for that?

We sat on Rockingham foreshore on friday afternoon and watched dolphins playing in the shallows .. MAGICAL ... i have never seen them so near or there before .

We have done some nice boat cruises from Mandurah on dolphin tours , Rockingham do them and you can go to Bunbury to feed and see them .. We have just booked our whale watching tour to go on next month , so excited !
