kayliandnathan
Hi Amy, Glad to hear you decided on making the move its the start of an exciting journey for sure!!! My partner and I decided to use an agent mostly because we work full time and have a little boy whos two and having the time to be able to research and find out how to do things we though it best to go with an agent. due to the changes which take affect in July gave us another reason to go with an agent as so want to beat the dead line and of course to ensure all the paperwork that was required was done so to a high standard and nothing would be missed out!!! We did some research just like you are before we went ahead........ We decided then to use VISA BUREAU. They have been brilliant we have had no issues at all they have been super quick, they have answered any questions promptly and we have built a good relationship with them and so have felt the process so far to be good expirence. You are still required to gather the information your self but they give u all guidlines and relevant info to be able to gather and produce a high standard application. we are half way through the process and well on the way to completion just awaiting results os skills assessment ans IELTS test ban efore we can progress. any other questions feelm free will try and help if i can Which Visa will you be applying for? where u planning on migrating to? whos the skilled applicant? Hope this helps you! All the best Kayli

Osmond8
Hi Kayli, Thankyou so much for your reply My husband, Lee will be our main visa applicant...he is a trained Electrician so we will be applying for the Skilled Migrant Visa. We initially plan to head to the Rockingham area in Perth...Lees uncle lives there so at least it gives us somewhere to start!...How about yourselves? I also work and we have 3 children, my eldest is 15yrs and then we have twins who are 5yrs. We originally planned to apply for the visas ourselves however after looking into it it seems that using an agent is probably the wise thing to do!! So when do you think you'll get out there?...when did you start your visa process? Amy
Georgiajoemillie
Hi, I'm a plumber so have gone through same process vetassess etc like your husband would have to. were using Ian Harrop very impressed , Douglas does the skill assessment side and Jenny who is the most helpful human on this planet does the visa side. i had a deadline of my 40 th bday to apply for visa, they sad we would and we did. Guest Tamjb
Hello. We used VISA BUREAU (based in Fulham but staff are Aussie) & they were great. We were granted our PR 176 visa in August last year. We went for medicals in June 2011 & the Doctor advised us that visa/migration agents were being phased out as Oz immigration wanted new applicants to complete the applications themselves online? Not sure if this applies yet but wouldn't want you to start the process with an agent to then be told you have to start from scratch again on your own. Good Luck :-)
Georgiajoemillie
Ask to speak to Jenny, she is always at the end of the phone or prompt to return of e mails we're waiting for our case officer now, hopefully start of next week

We wouldn't have done it without an agent either (mountain of paperwork, where do you start, what do you write etc!!) however, my brother & his wife completed theirs without an agent. This saved them money but we found it so much easier & less time consuming (although it was still time consuming) to use an agent & just fill in forms as & when we were told, much less stressful! We have just told our parents that we are emigrating and that the house is going on the market tomorrow. All being well we shall be over there by October. Good luck with your application. Many thanks, Amy :smile2: Hi yes we used the australian migration company (theamc.co.uk) they were the most professional and cheapest we could find. they were excellent, some other companies where asking for double the amount, they are based in Manchester. Lee Bromfield took our case on and he was brilliant, always replied with out delay, the company is also a MIRA agent. Good Luck with it all!!
