Guest Claire and Brian
Hi does anyone know if they take into account mental health in the medicals? Basically I had post natal depression after having my boys but I'm still on antidepressants, although I've never been seriously ill with it and have never needed time off work ect, I just wondered if it would go against me, if anyone knows or if you've been in a simular situation please let me know Cheers
elfie
Clare If your mental health was a problem you would not have a passport, you have not been detained under the mental health act i pressume? Try not to worry to much around this just be honest when it comes to the medical. You will be suprised how many people take anti depressants for low mood anti depressants are even prescribed for menapausal symptoms these days beleive it or not. You are currently well and looking forward to a new way of life remain positive and I am sure things will be fine for you and your family. Post natal depression is quiet common, anit depressants cannot just be stopped as no doubt your doctor has told you. When the time is right you will have a very slow reduction in dose to finally stop taking the medication if this is what your doctor feels is right for you. Good luck and please try not to worry im sure things will be fine. love n light Mary
