Philpom
Lesley, have a look at this page and you will be able to ask your question directly. http://www.transport.wa.gov.au/licensing/15456.asp . I am guessing you may have to go on the P Plate system here
gobbyjock
Im pretty sure you won`t have - to my daughters driving instructor (English) told her that if she was going back to UK to book in for a test when there and if she passed it would mean she could return show her license to Licensing here and she she would get full license no need for P`s. The Frets
A friend of mine had just passed her test in the UK before emmigrating, when she went to get her aussie licence they put her on her P's for the first two yrs she was here, as you would have to if you had passed your test here. But as has been said check out the website to be sure. Jane

Ignore what I put previously - it was 25hrs logbook she wouldn`t have to do not the P plates - that will teach me to listen properly to her next time duhhh!! ! liz_rox
well I passed my test in the UK a year ago, moved to Perth in March and applied for my Aussie license by filling in some forms, paying some money (not much) and they sent me my new Australian license no worries! : )
