Rosshf Posted May 19, 2012 Report Share Posted May 19, 2012 I have opened accounts with Westpac and intend to transfer money into the account to earn interest (for the next 4 months or so until I get there). I understand that the bank will deduct non-resident withholding tax from any interest in this time. Anyone know the rate? I have seen two rates 10% and a horrifying 46% (ish).
