Looking to meet friends in Rockingham area and surrounds.

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Just moved to Shoalwater in the Rockingham area last week and are now looking to meet up with people. I am 31 and my hubby is 36 with no kids as yet, he works as a mechy fitter in Henderson and I am still looking for work.

We're into 4WD ing, camping, bbqing, going for a beer or 2, or just coffee and cake! Would love to meet up with other couples with or without kids whatever age you are, would love to hear from you.

Thanks Liz : )

Hi Liz,

we'll be out there mid-end January in Safety Bay/Shoalwater. Was in Perth last week and spent much of it on the beach in Rockingham.

2 kids, late 30's, outdoorsy folk with a few mates already in the Rockingham/Port Kennedy/Secret Harbour area.

Can keep in touch if you like on here or fb

Cheers

Charlie, Donna and kids

Hi Nessa,

how you finding Safety Bay? We were there last week and loved it, has that warm feeling you have when you find that place on earth you want to spend the rest of your life in.

We had a look around the school as well and the kids cant wait to get started next Feb in years 3 and 7. We even had out first BBQ on the beach there last week, big contrast to this week with high winds, lashing rain and more layers than you find in your average onion!

We love it here, it is close to beach, parks (for dog), and shops (for me and son). My son is in year 11 and has made friends easily, he said everyone is friendly in the schools here not like the UK where if you are the new kid no one speaks to you! So all is good. It would be good to have more people to socialise, so when you are settled in, let me know and we can arrange a meet up.

It is 33 degrees today so warming up for summer! Therefore don't pack too many clothes in your cases.

Hi,

sounds good, yeah we noticed how friendly the kids/and everyone else is. They also visited the judo club they will be going to in P.K and found it to be the same.

Went out for a curry in Rockingham (Spice of the Ocean) on Saturday night which was good, was around a half dozen couples and kids some of who we have known for years but didn't know until we had the visa that they also had moved out. Small world huh!
