Give me a break!
Im glad you have realised we are here to help. Look, most of us have been in your position, our visa for example took two years so, we do understand the stress involved but you are in a very early stage so please dont get stressed yet! Also Im not without children and I am not a hairdresser so I didnt respond because your post was directed at that particular group of people. Im not into the kiddies meet ups either as my older children are now adults and my son is 11 and basically going on 42 . Im happy to help though if there is anything that I can help with. jackboots
Thank you for this offer, I apolgies to you if I caused any offence. I would like to know how easy or difficult is it to find a hairdressing job in Perth? I have 24 years experience and all the possible qualifications I could achieve, including training and assessing! I am a friendly, easy going person who can work as an individual or as part of a team and talking is my speciality!!! LOL We have been on the sister site, we thought this site would be more informative for us.Where is it you work and how long have you been hairdressing? Hello simcar , I also have been hairdressing 24 years ! won't mention age ... anyway there are usualy quite a few hairdressing jobs advertised on www.seek.com.au and also the Wed and saturday copies of the Western Australian paper .. they are jobs days for all .. i have walked into both my jobs here no problem ( same as you lots of courses and the required certificates etc ) , when we first arrived you had to re-sit the WA state Hairdressing Exams . Practical and theory .. its now been abolished as has the state registration which was required yearly The hairdressing website is still available to look at and you can read up bits on there .. I work in Baldivis now , i did work In a shopping Forum .. which i hated before .. longer hours just didn't like being in a shopping mall , works for some and not others Edited May 30, 2012 by jackboots added on
yorkshirepudding
Thought this site was to find answers to questions and to maybe make some friends along the way with like minded people. How wrong was I!!!!Clearly people are not interested in anybody that doesnt have children these days. We were hoping there would be, since there are many known welsh that have been in our position before and moved to Oz, some people that may have offered their story to us of their experience of moving and some helpful hints. No doubt there will be lots of available jobs then if NO hairdressers can post to us!!!!! Good for me EH!!!!! Come on assessors, Perths hairdressers need me!!!!! Hi there I am a hairdresser and childless heading to perth later in the year. I know quite a few of us heading out there. Like a lot a people who have already got their visa's I don't spend a lot of time on the forums because once you have the visa that's when the real stress starts!!! And there is so much to do selling houses, businesses and families to deal with, so learn to chill and go with things we all get the answers we need in the end

Guest SIMCAR
Many thanks for your helpfull hints and will check out the link as soon as I can. Our visa lodged 13th june so police checks and meds needed now and then hold tight I guess. We are due to visit Perth in January so will research and then take the time when there to look for jobs and places to live. I hope I don.t have any problem with a job, have worked in a large salon and small. We will also check out the papers as stated on those dates advised. :-))) Hello simcar , I also have been hairdressing 24 years ! won't mention age ... anyway there are usualy quite a few hairdressing jobs advertised on www.seek.com.au and also the Wed and saturday copies of the Western Australian paper .. they are jobs days for all .. i have walked into both my jobs here no problem ( same as you lots of courses and the required certificates etc ) , when we first arrived you had to re-sit the WA state Hairdressing Exams . rob-c
Hi, like all the above, try and relax, we found the waiting the worst bit, vetassess-wait-SS-wait-visa app-wait-crb checks-wait meds-wait but its all worth it when you get the grant email and book your flights. We fly end August and in mad panic mode with house sale, shipping, petair blah blah blah just want to get on the plane so we can relax. Heading to Kalamunda for 3 month rental till our stuff arrives so anyone nearby let us know. Good luck with it all Edited June 16, 2012 by rob-c
