Very excited. We have been granted our Permanent residents visa. Have just got to find a job for my husband who is an Engineering Project manager without gas or mining experience but tonnes of manufacturing, utilities, automotive and design consultany, then find an area to settle and schools for 3 boys.

Help!:smile2:

Good luck with your visa. It doesn't like that long ago when we first started the process. I hope everything goes well for you too.

Hi Catherine Matt and Travis

Great to hear that you are enjoying your new home! We have just got our visa and are looking at jobs. We have heard that Mandurah is very nice. How are you finding the area and what are the schools like? We have an 11 year old boy too and a 3 and 9 year old. Caroline :-)

Congratulations, it seems ages since we got ours and now finally moving in September. We have been looking at areas around Mandurah it seems very popular, but where OH finds a job will be the deciding factor. Have you any idea when you will be making the move?

Hi Kat

Thank you for your message. We are so excited about getting the visas. Like you, my husband is trying to find a job at the moment. We are still in Sussex and hope to go to Perth. I have been trying to do a bit of research on Perth by watching television programmes and google is my new best friend! Until he finds a job we can't really decide on where or when to go. Apparently having a PR visa is a real plus because it will show employers his intention to stay. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Has he logged his CV on the skilled migrant website? If not it is at: http://www.skilledmigrant.gov.au

Once you have you PR visa you can upload your details onto the site for employers to look at. Caroline x

Hi Caroline, thank you for your reply. Haha at one point goole was my new best friend too, but tnh i didnt really have a clue what i was lloking for in term of work! My OH hasnt up;oaded his CV on to the skilled migrant website but i will certainly tell him to do that asap! He is really flapping that he wont find work when we get there, but i think he's just a biot in panic mode, where normally thats me and he's laid back. Saying that i am taking it all in my stride...yeah right, but im a bit more relaxed about finding work and i know there is jobs out there otherwise they wouldnt grant the PR visas for people. It is important, but im a beleiver that all things happen for a reason and finding work will happen and it will be the first step to having a better life for us :jiggy:Kat x
