Guest RachSouth
And I've had such a great time! Hubby is settled here and loves it, and I'll have to say I am in love with Perth, too. That doesn't make the big business decision any easier, though unfortunately. When home, I will count down the days until we're back in August. My husband's car has arrived, South Perth has proved an amazing place to live, Hillarys was such an unexpected treat, Fremantle isn't at all like Blackpool (which is what I said initially - it's more like Glastonbury!) and well, it's going to be interesting to see what happens next! JAK
I have been to Australia several times and spent a couple of months there last year, but I have never been to Perth which is where we have now decided to live. Reading posts like this makes me feel a lot happier about our decision.
linda@no9
Hi Rach. I have a business I'm taking over with me, that decision in itself was hard as I've taken 3 years building it, got loads of contacts and clients and I did feel i'd have to start all over again. Hubs is in Hillarys and we all follow over in August. We applied for the visas (PR) about 2 years ago and had to validate them Jan this year. I really didn't have the need to emigrate after the business reached a success point in Jan this year after I won a national award, however, after a few days in Perth, I didn't want to come home! I am actually pining for the place now. I look at folk in the street and think to my self. "This is all you have got" The world is a big place and full of opportunity if you just take it.
