Hi guys :) In terms of furniture - what is your budget? If you're looking for cheap and cheerful (and self-assemble furniture won't cause a relationship breakdown!) then you can try the following:-

www.fantasticfurniture.com.au

www.superamart.com.au

www.thefurniturespot.com.au

http://www.ikea.com/aa/en/

I must admit I don't know about renting furniture, sorry about that.

In terms of buying cars, my husband seems to think that www.carsales.com.au is the way to go.

Good luck with it all!

Regards

Jen :)

Hi there,

It really depends on your budget, we thought Harvey Norman was quite expensive, though we've been told that anywhere that has sales people are open to 'deals' if you're buying more than one item you may be able to get a better price. We did a few obligatory trips to Ikea though we found the best place (if you don't mind 2nd hand) is http://www.gumtree.com.au we picked up some really good bargains and strangely its also a good way of meeting people in your local area:) We were going to rent white goods there are lots of places that do (easily found on google) but managed to pick up a cheap washing machine and fridge freezer on gumtree, it also does cars too:)
