Hi

Anyone got any advice on the best way to start building some credit history in Aus (aside from getting an Australian C-card!).

have opened up an Oz bank account, and I'm drip feeding little bits of cash into it failry regularly - trying to make the best of a cr*p rate but don't have the £££ to plan anything big in terms of a money move, as still need to pay for the container, flights, rent etc etc until we actually make the move (prob turn of the year!)

Is it a good idea to slowly build up a bank balance in Oz like this, or best to just keep it all, pray the rate doesnt totally collapse, and sunt a big lump sum across ? (or win the lottery of course...) :)

Any advice gratfeully received

:)

Hi there. We was told to just open an account as soon as poss (done 3 years ago) and just pop a bit of dosh over every now and then. As give me a break says its the history that they look at not how much in there!! This helps when you land in OZ and you want to say....take a phone contract out etc.
