Thank you! Do I need Visa going to Singapore from Kuala lumpur via land trip? I Would like to know if there is any bus directly from Penang to Singapore? If yes, how can we book the tickets? Thanks Please do share your expertise , Thank you! Appreciate
moirclan
You can drive over the border to jahore , and your in malaysia you get a visa at the border check,, it used to only be a few dollars ive driven from singapore to malacca , i think there is a train from penang through to singapore , although i may be getting mixed up as its been a few years since i lived there xx

Guest peterteh
Hi, Simon If you are a citizen of the Commonwealth, you do not need a visa travelling either direction. Have bus direct from Penang to Singapore One of the most convenient ways to travel within Malaysia and between Singapore is by bus - more than 3000 departures per day to various locations and destinations. Scot01
I'd go and have a look on tripadvisor web site - they'd answer the question. I took a train from Singapore to Penang a few years ago - took 13 hours. probably cheaper to fly - Asia air/Tiger air may do cheap flights. if you just want to go to Malaysia then drive across or take the bus to Jahore - nice beaches. Many people commute from there into Singapore on a daily basis.
Arwen
My husband works in KL and is meeting me in Singapore in September for a long weekend. Cost of a return flight is $60 AUD and the flight is 55 minutes. Not worth messing about with any other means of transport IMO.
