Are they any amateur golfers out there in the Joondalup area?? Or how about any social football players for the late 30s early 40s??

Or how about fishing? Anyone know any good spots to fish and do you need a licence etc

What courses have people on here played? Any favourites and what's the cost?

I suppose it depends how good you are and where you live. I am about a 25 handicapper so an average hacker. The hardest I have played over here is Secret Harbour and Port Kennedy when it is windy. The best was probably the Cut but again that is very hard.

Local to me: Maylands - average and can get very busy

Atlone - solid little nine hole and cheap

Hillview - 3 separate nine hole courses, affordable and you can get on

Whaleback - average, quite expensive and can get packed

I live on Carramar golf course estate, and as a public course, it is up there with the best. But the hardest was secret harbour as a highish handicapper, you need to be able to hit it straight, if not, make sure you have plenty of balls.

Hi Dean

AFC Joondalup run a masters team on a Sunday afternoon. We have just been promoted from Div 1 to Prem. Pre-season starts around January with a Sunday morning run at Mullaloo beach just to get the legs working again and then on a Wednesday night at ECU from mid-Feb

The boys are always in The Bailey so if you are in there and the gaffer is in there somebody will be able to point him or at least one or two of our boys out.

Other clubs with masters teams are Joondalup United, I think they play in Padbury, Joondalup City who play in Iluka. There are other clubs a bit further out such as Wanneroo and Quinn's Rocks so plenty of options.

Cheers

Si

I have all my own gear.... Cmon someone pleeeaase.

Sorry Dean, just catching up on the site and noticed this old post, I hope you got sorted out on the football front (Soccer....hate calling it that but it is Oz).

Like someone said the Footballwest site is useful, but try Joondalup Utd Vets who train at Mullaloo on Wednesday nights from 6:30 at Charonia Reserve.

See website http://joondalupunitedfc.com.au/ for contact details, they have 4 vets teams of various standard.
