Guest alanjuliecole
Hi all Two weeks today we are on our way to Perth! We have booked a furnished rental for 10 weeks to get organised, and we need a broadband solution that can move with us if that's possible. A dongle is a back up solution, but given that we have an ipad which doesn't have 3G it would be great if there was a wireless solution which we could connect the lap top, the ipad, and possibly use wifi on our iphones at home with. It probably doesn't exist, but an internet connection is an absolute must almost as soon as we arrive. Any suggestions? We really want something which can move to our new property with us when we move. Thanks! I'm probably looking for something that doesn't exist! Guest leanie
Hi we have a pocket wifi dongle thing from vodafone which works well for us. its on a month to month plan so no contract. we have 12gb's for $49 per month, the dongle was half price (about $35) with this. could be worth doing for short term: http://shop.vodafone.com.au/broadband-details/buy-pocket-wifi-pro-black?mboxSession=1325626750503-69598 (you can get it on contract too whereby you get more data or prepay where you get less. it'll work for your laptop, ipad & phones. i'm sure telstra will have better reception though depending where you are planning on travelling around to. Connects up to five wireless devices and you can take it anywhere. It was $99 for the dongle which came with 5gb Data download and then $100 to top up with 6gb. Expensive but if we didn't have it we wouldn't of had any Internet in the first few months before we found a more permenant rental and that's when we needed it most..
