How is weather etc I would pack for a Scottish spring, i.e. can be very cold at night, some heavy wet downpours and some lovely warm days. phil
Yep, as far as clothes go, stuff for spring time. Think of those clear, crisp sunny mornings but stretched out all day - the sunshine's great but it won't feel overly hot for a while yet. And there can be a chill in the evenings. Some sort of wet weather gear would be advisable. If you get caught in one of the spring showers you'll get very wet, but they only last a few minutes. PerthPomToBe
Some hoodies and cosy socks. It does feel cold in the mornings and evenings. Bring some throws and blankets etc in the container, it will be warming up soon but they will always do for next winter. Good luck! x
TDK43
Hiya, I am wearing jeans with top and hoodie/ cardigan just now. Long pjs with cosy socks. Afternoons could be in 3/4 length trousers and tshirt. I would bring everything you own clothes wise in your container. The houses are no way as warm inside as the UK, in my experience anyway!, so you'll need your winter duvets, dressing gowns, x

Guest themanns
We have been here for 6 weeks now and when we arrived we were shocked at how cold it got at night..we are so used to central heating that you don't really notice how cold it get's in England but here we have had to put 3 layers of clothes on our babies and a big blanket.. As far as bringing stuff goes we thought that we would be in a holiday let for 3 weeks then be in a long term rental but there are sooo many people going to each house viewing that we are now in our 3rd holiday let so instead of thinking we would only buy it anyway whilst we wait for our shipment we could have brought everything and it would coinside with our moving in! WA is VERY expensive because of our crap exchange rate so if it's not falling apart bring it. . you just as well fill your container if you can afford one. And you may need 3 months in a holiday let so neg a good long term rate. We were gobsmacked at the amount of British people here.. They call it little britain where we are staying at the mo in Butler.. Hence the rents are high
