Oz Dollar
Sorry if this has been asked before. When we move to oz we want to put the rental money or house sale money into a new account into the uk. Then we want to transfer to a ANZ bank that we opened a few years ago in oz with the money from the sale or rental. :unsure:I was told Nationwide was the best bank to use. Any one used Nationwide? Thank you

Guest racheldarkesouthwood
HSBC without any hesitation. Recommended to us by everyone and they were right!
phil
If it must be a separate account, could your existing bank not open you an additional account just for that purpose? Ours did. Transferring money to and fro seems to be a complicated process and the rates vary wildly. Our Oz bank will do it nice and easily, but take a massive chunk. Whereas when we've sent large sums through a foreign exchange company they'll not give you the best deal straight off, and the last one we used decided not to honour the rate they'd quoted, but only after the money was already in "transit" to them. Cheeky bleeders got an earful and then did as they'd originally said.

Thank you All banks rape you on Forex transfer fees, I use HIFX, they have a UK branch and a Oz branch, this works out great coz you dont have to pay forex fees either way, and you can use any or existing bank accounts

Guest Hammer
Check out 'Barclays International Banking'. Accounts in any currency. Westpac and Barclays are part of the 'ATM Global Alliance' so you can withdraw c
