Renting when we arrive and where?

I,m new to this forum lark, just wondering me, the wife and kids are hopefully arriving in perth in january and i,m going to be based in belmont. What area's should i be looking to rent in and is it true that apparently the oz goverment give you a bond on your first place?

You should just look through these boards to see the masses of information / views on renting. Basically work out your budget /money that you can afford to spend on rent and start searching the WA property websites to see rentals that match and you can cross check the areas that you afford in relation to your Belmont base. First time home buyers in WA get a first time home owners grant, think it is still $7000, you would need to check. Never heard of help with your rental bond though.

if your a resident and on low income benefits etc you can some time borrow the bond from centre link [ its capped at a certain amount ] and its paid back in small affordable amounts , but you would have to jump through hoops to get it
