linda@no9
Hi. I'm sure I saw a thread somewhere with a link to uk equivalent of family allowance. Do the Australians have it here and can anyone offer advice if we would qualify? Thanks.
SusieQ
Hi Linda...there is an equivalent. It is reliant on a lot of things....what salary you are on and what visas you have and how old are your children. Go along to centrelink. They will sort it all out for you. Guest LestaGal1987
I'm pretty sure you have to be in the country for 2 years before eligible for anything
SusieQ
No if you are eligible you can get it straight away.

SusieQ
Centrelink is a government agency. If you google search: centrelink and the main suburb you are near it should give you the address of your local office. They will sit you down and take your details and let you know if you are eligible and how much. Take your passports and visa with you and proof of address.
