Corinne14470
We are going to take my 4 year old to one of them tomorrow as part of our last day in oz...which one would you recommend?
Arwen
In terms of interaction I would say Caversham. You can feed the Kangaroos, hold a wombat, touch a koala etc.
rob-c
caversham, you can hand feed roo's and touch koala's, zoo is a good day out but no hand feeding roo's or koala stroking Edited November 7, 2012 by rob-c
Sal
if you have a car then it is easy to add on the Margaret River Choc factory - Caversham is very near it. Free samples of chocolate!
Philpom
Sal I think you have your geography a bit mixed up and your wildlife parks mixed up. Caversham is a suburb of Perth (near Midland) and you might be thinking of something like Country Life Farm down in Yallingup where you can feed the animals. Corinne14470
Thanks all...the Perth one is what I mean as we are there for a day and a half before going back to England. Caversham wins just got to suss out the transport system!
Arwen
http://www.cavershamwildlife.com.au/PDF/Courtesy-Car-Information.pdf Pain in the neck though.
ali
My choice is Caversham, take a picnic and leave it in the car. You'll get round Caversham in about half a day, when you're finished enjoy your picnic in Whiteman park, take bathers as there's a big toddler splash pool, you can do a little train ride. We take all our visitors to Caversham.
DyLeB
You can get the bus to Caversham - once you get to the main gate a minibus will come and collect (there is a phone) you and take you back to the Bus stop once you are done. Going by car is easier.

There is a Margaret river choc factory in the swan valley! Also as a matter of interest the chocolate is actually from Belgium, hence why it's so tasty!!! Philpom
Oh yeah I forgot about that. It's been a long while since I was in the Swan Valley, but I do remember now going to the Chocolate Factory last time I was there. Would have liked to get to Duckstein as well but it looked pretty full with bus loads of drunken 20 somethings on end of season footy drinking sessions
