chandi
Hi, We are a family of 5 (me, hubby, 3 children aged 7, 3 and 2) who arrived in Perth at the start of September. My husband now has a job in the city so I am at home with the little ones and doing school runs etc. We're currently in Beldon, but are moving to Aveley in about a month's time (my eldest is at school there) and it would be really great if I knew some other mums, particularly with kids around the same age, in the area. Obviously being at home with young children can be quite isolating, especially if you don't work, so I would love to make some friends and have some adult company. Playdates for my younger ones would be fab too, as they won't be at school/pre-school full-time for a while yet. I look forward to hearing from you Lucie x
Redrobbersdog
Hi Lucie, we live in Aveley, we have been here approx 18 months and love it. We have a 7 year old girl (going on 17!) Anna and there is me and Rob (hubby). We both work full time but happy to meet people in the evenings and weekends. we have met some lovely people on perth poms who live in area. Let us know when your settled in and I'm sure we can arrange a drink and BBQ. Take care and I hope your move goes well. Dawn
Tia2
Hi, we are moving over on the 1st December and will be initially staying with family in Aveley until the 2nd jan. My daughter is 11 so a bit older than your children but we would still be more than happy to meet up if you'll have us! My daughter loves little ones and helping out with children so I'm sure she'll be happy to be around younger children for a bit of a get together. How exciting, nerve wracking and every other emotion you can possibly think of. ? As I said my daughter is going on 17 anyway! Haha. She gets on well with anyone so it'll be fun for her. Let us know when you get settled and how you are getting on with the big move. Keep in touch and see ya on the other side soon. ? chandi
Hi Dawn and Amanda...That sounds brilliant, we would love to meet up. We are moving in on 16th December, so anytime from then is fine. Maybe we can all get together for a Christmas drink in the sunshine (that's going to take some getting used to!!) Good luck with the move, Amanda!
Redrobbersdog
Sounds great Lucie. What makes you move to aveley? Xmas in the sunshine is very different but just as enjoyable. Dawn
chandi
Our eldest is at school in Aveley so it made sense to find somewhere close to live. At the moment we're a 25 min drive away and school run traffic is horrible - not the reason we came to australia! Also Aveley seems really smart and new and reasonably affordable. Redrobbersdog
Anna is in SVACS here in Aveley in year 1 and really enjoys it, schools are so important but the travelling can't be good for you at the minute every day. You're not going to know what to do with all your extra time in the day. We love Aveley but you definitely need a car to get out and about to other places from here. We don't mind the drive to the beach or the city and because we both work we love the parks on our door step for the evening walks and chilling out. It's not for everyone being so quiet and chilled though. It took some getting used to but we've made a nice network of friends now for the odd evening out in the local. Looking forward to meeting you guys when you get settled.
