Guest Phill Og
Are you using a migration agent or going through the process yourself !!!!!!!
verystormy
I was under the impression that any jobs with the armed forced required citizenship?
gobbyjock
I was under the impression that any jobs with the armed forced required citizenship? No you can do a lateral transfer with ran and the serving member and any kids get citizenship within 3 months, I think they may be changing the rules to include spouses in that too (previously spouses had to wait for the full time before being entitled to it)

Guest ohlala
hi we are doing it ourself and not with an agent, you dont need citizenship and yes we all get it granted after 3 months. ( wife, kids and whoever else you take over on ur visa too) its not classed as a transfer anymore, they see it as you leaving one navy and joining the other, which is a pain as apparently the process used to be a lot easier that way! thanks for ur posts, going to be ringing one of the guys at the RAN tonight as our visa officer hasnt even been in the office all week and no body else can asnwer any of our questions. xx
gobbyjock
I would still have a look at the the thread on the other site as it has a lot of info on it not just about the visa process, plus I think some on there are currently going the same new process as yourself (could be wrong though).
