racheld
hello all, and merry Christmas:ssign4: about 3 years ago i got myself a migration agent, payed the first installment (£1100) on the interdependent visa and they advised me to do the IELTS as i'm a nurse i would need this for my registration. after over a year of trying i was still unable to get the 7 required for my nursing registration so i contacted them and explained that due to dyslexia i was unable to pass the IELTS. i had to prove i had been education from a child in the British language and i got my registration ;-)i have until June 2013 to go to the Perth office for verification. i contacted my migration agent to let them know and they said i would need to go on a sponsorship visa and i paid another £1000 for a different visa. they don't seem to be doing anything for me and it took me nearly 3 month for them to get in touch with me, they just said you need to get a job before we can do any more. i have been applying for jobs in Perth but have been unable to get sponsorship these are for jobs that i more than qualified for.:christmaswreath: my dilemma is do::christmastree: 1: take the general IELTS test for independent visa but i worried about my registration time running out. will they give me an extension on the time? 2: just keep applying for jobs and hope i get a job be for my registration time runs out in June. 3:can i fly out to the Perth office and get the paper finalized and fly back home (if I'm able to do that.:xmas1: i cant tell you my migration agent as it just gets ***** out but i have found out recently that they are not registered but use a independent registered migration agent to do the paper work. i'm at a loss, starting to see the dream fading away. :xmas5:any advice you would great.:xmas6: :xmas11: xxxx
Gaz H
Hi racheld, Sounds like you're in a bit of a fix, and the agent doesnt sound good either. I know you have spent a lot already but have you consiedered going over on a working holiday and finding a sponsor from an employer once you are over there? Obviously this would depend on if it was just you or are there others depending on you getting the visa? Hope you find the answer you are looking for. Good luck! verystormy
I think I can guess which agent you are using without you naming them. My advice is to drop them immediately. Have a chat with Go Matilda or George Lombard.

hinnchcsa
Hi I think i can guess which agent too! If so my advice is get out quick and contact Go Matilda! If we are talking about the same agent you wont get to oz with them. I m a nurse too and he has more than messed up for us and it appears there s nothing we can do about it or to even warn other people about them too. For more than a year I wasnt anywhere near going but managed to be £2200 out of pocket to them without any kind of visa (plus I payed own APHRA, ILETS ETC without him even looking at my forms). I have been with Go Matilda for 2 weeks and am so much further forward than a year with the other so called agent. My advice- give Go Matilda a ring ASAP!
