Kev Rad
Might be a strange question to ask but has anyone had any issues taking the vacuum cleaner to Oz? My wife loves her Dyson and I want to know if we are better buying a new one or bringing the old one with us? It's got to that time where I will be asking loads of daft questions I think. Thanks Kev:err:

Thanks Kev:err: I'm sure I've read somewhere that they are very expensive in Perth. I think I even looked up the price too (saddo I know). I think I'd be looking to replace it and take a new one, got to use it a bit though so its not classed as brand new - think I'll be buying a new one to take, after all I've had 2 now, 1st one lasted 10 years - one I've got now I've had 5 years. vixie99
Just brought my days on in, no problems. Took as much of it apart and cleaned it inside and out before it was packed. If you're not sure how to get filter out etc, talk to dysentery. Declare it as we'll, customs will inspect it but with a bit of luck will let it through without insisting its cleaned again. No guarantees, I'd say if you do bring it make sure it's as clean as when you bought it.
lornarees1
Depends how much u use it , I brought mine it was an upright , when it broke they wanted 700 bucks to replace it A dyson is good if u got loads of carpets and stairs which we don't have much of either in Perth

xclairex
First I brought one, then when that one went kaput I bought a second, which yes, cost me just short if $1000. Last year I come to realise that it was too bulky and heavy for daily use and have purchased a cheaper one which is just as good, but it uses a bag which is the only downside, but it is brill for cleaning window tracks out. Kev Rad
Cheers all! Think I'll get a new one and make sure it is kept clean.
