chrisandcord
Afternoon All I have done most of my posting on pomsinadelaide.com as we were originally having to move there as my wifes occupation was taken off the skill list (Primary School Teacher)! But after lots of help from the Perth office we are back on track for WA where we originally wanted to go! Here is our timeline IELTS - May 2012 Skills Assesment - June EOI - July (for both WA and SA!) Invitation to Apply - August Visa Application Submitted - September CO - September Found out about switching to WA - October Wife Pregnant awaiting Birth, so no medicals! Uploaded all docs online - December Change of circumstances logged for new born - January 2013 - Still waiting to hear that this has been seen Police Checks - January 2013 - Awaiting been sent Medicals - as soon as we get health id for new born! I (Chris) have been visiting Perth since I can remember, my two uncles live in Perth (Leeming and Mindarie). My wife said she couldn't make a decision on moving until I took her, understandably, although I don't know why she couldn't take my judgement!! Finally took her in 2009. First son born in 2010 and second son 2012! Really looking forward to getting out there, if all the medical and police checks are OK obviously! Wife a bit worried about the medicals, she doesn't want the kids been bashed about!! But have read a few posts saying that they don't do too much to the kids?!?! Not really bothered where we are going to live, got family north and south of the river. Any advice on family friendly suburbs would be nice though! Would be great to hear from everyone! Cheers Chris
CharliePappa
Hi Chris, funny how things work out isnt it? We were in the same position and I was on Pomsinadelaide as well (Donna&Charlie), and likewise my career was removed from the list. We submitted our WA Sponsorship App in November and it took just 20 days for us to receive our invite. We have our medicals in Manchester this Friday (11th) so can give you the gen when we've had them. We have our heart set on Halls Head/Mandurah and hopefully will be out there later this year, depending on Medicals and Police checks. Hopefully we will have a visa decision by March as there is an expo in Manchester in March which will have people from shipping and prospective employers as well. Oh and we're also in Leeds (Pudsey). Good luck with your application. Cheers Charlie
chrisandcord
Yeah it is funny!! Yeah if you could let me know how the meds go that would be great! We will be going to Manchester too. My wife teaches in Pudsey but we are in Whitkirk. Hope all goes well for you. If we are over there around the same time we should meet up! Look forward to hearing from you. Chris

CharliePappa
Yeah, no worries, my kids are at school in Farsley. Will keep in touch. Also received confirmation that ACRO have received our Police Certificate application today, they reckon that should take 10 days so hopefully we will have that ready to upload around the same time we get a Case Office. Snow here at the weekend apparently. Enjoy it while you can I guess! Cheers Charlie
The Hobson Crew
Hi to you guys, just some info about the meds. We leave for Perth on the 20th of june and have gone through all the process, there is nothing to worry about regarding the meds they are a doddle. Adults give blood but children don't, for them it's just a urine sample and a general check over. We went to a place in Manchester which was recommended to us because they can send off your results straight away from this clinic. Hope this helps, we are from Wibsey, Bradford and have friends who's child plays for Farsley celtic............ they do not want us to go. Keep in touch and maybe we will see you out there. All the best The Hobson's

Have probably passed you in Asda, will listen out next time for someone else moaning about how cold it is here and telling your OH what the temperature in Perth is that day (Default is Scooorchio!).
