Guest bec36 Posted January 15, 2013 Report Share Posted January 15, 2013 Hi Sueloo We also arrived in Dec from just outside Guildford, Surrey we stayed with friends in Gold Coast for Christmas & New Year but fly over to Perth tomorrow night. There's myself 34, my OH 40, our son who will be 3 next month & our German Shepherd who we pick up from quarantine on Friday! We'll be staying in Secret Harbour & would be interested in meeting some new people when we get there. It will probably take us a few days to get sorted when we arrive but let us know if you arrange a meet up, maybe Rockingham Foreshore? Can you let me know the FB groups you are on too, trying to arrange meet ups as soon as we get there for the boys to make some friends especially the older one as he is getting upset at leaving his best friends :-( thanks ! If anyone is arranging another get together we would definitely be up for it, I am off work on Thursdays. Let me know if anyone fancies meeting up. We flew into Brisbane & spent Christmas & New Year with friends in Gold Coast then flew into Perth 16th Jan. We've been out to Oz a few times to have a look around before we made the big move! I remember how hectic those first few weeks are, there's so much to do, it's a bit overwhelming! Christmas on the Gold Coast sounds good. I've never been over east! Guest bec36 Posted January 25, 2013 Report Share Posted January 25, 2013 We booked a 3 month rental from the UK, so i suppose you would class it as a holiday let but we could have booked longer term if we wanted to. A bit pricey but had to take what we could as we have a German Shepherd so had to work around his quarantine dates so needed somewhere pet friendly & everywhere was getting booked up because of the time of year. We hope to find something cheaper after that or buy somewhere if we find something we like in that time. I find fb easier too, I will have a look for you now.
