Hi, just joined forum today! I am very keen on a move to Perth & would like any info on job availability & salary prospects for the above mentioned Job title . I have been looking for the past six months on Seek & Career websites with job vacancies in the eastern states but so far little or nothing in the Perth area!

42 years young & have 27 years experience in the print industry, looking to move to Perth with wife & daughters aged 17 & 12.

Any info will be much appreciated.

your best bet is to treat you and your family to a holiday in Perth. Try to line up a few interviews whilst you are there. There are plenty of printers in Perth looking for good reliable printers, can you print litho as well as flexo as this will give you a better chance to secure a job,but bare in mind you will probably need to find a company to sponsor you. This s the hardest part. Good luck Phill

Been living on Seek.com.au myself this past while. I'm in a the same trade myself Bigzun, granted more at the repro end, and have been keeping a look out for jobs. I've been quite bouyed up by the amount of printing goes on in Perth and am quite confident about finding a job when we get out there in September.

Hi phill & Uberdogmag,thanks for you're quick responses. I did a bit of small offset in the late 80's whilst gaining my city & guilds at the London College of printing ( Elephant & Castle). Would prefer to stick to label printing so will start sending my cv to a few label printers in Perth & see what sort of response I get.
