Grainne D
Hi Everyone, I'm currently trying to get the 186 Visa and I'm afraid I may run into a few issues. My employer is willing to assist and I have started the process of getting my skills recognised through vetassess. Thing is I think the employer may fal short in the trainning requirements, has anyone heard of anyone overcoming this issue or any ways around it? Admin
I think you'd be best speaking to a Registered Migration agent to see what your options are. Do you meet the requirements for a 187 visa? - as far as I'm aware, there's no training benchmark for the nominating employer with a
Grainne D
Thanks, must look at the 187 - I just need to look at what areas qualify - you've been very helpful!! :smile2:
New Life Down Under
Thanks, must look at the 187 - I just need to look at what areas qualify - you've been very helpful!! :smile2: hi Grainne As Cerberus suggest you may be wise to look at a subclass 187 visa instead of a 186. Different criteria, main thing is the occupation is and ANZSCO skills level 1-3. If you are one of the specified trades on the legislative instrument you will need a skills assessment. Currently Perth is still on the list for RSMS, personally sometimes this amazes me and wouldnt be shocked if it isnt a long term thing, but that is just my humble opinion! As a RMA, the longer it stays on the better! No training benchmark to adhere to for RSMS but the position has to be certified by the Skilled Migration WA Dept (this can only be done after advertising the position on Seek/CareerOne or West Australian. ENS is a better option for some applicants though as the visa grant conditions are not so restrictive
