Iloveoz
Hi Everyone, This is a bit of a random post but I was wondering if anyone knows any Norwegians in Perth? We are moving over in the next few weeks and are looking into joining the Scandinavia club in Perth - has anyone any of experiences of this?! My other half is norwegian and we would really like to meet fellow scandanvians (along with my fellow poms x

Guest SamC
Hi, I work for a Norwegian company and am transferring to the perth office in a few weeks. There are several Norwegians in the office who I am sure will be able to give you some info on Scandinavian get togethers.
Levi
I wonder why are Scandinavians moving to Oz - I know they have it pretty well at the mo. Perhaps curious, perhaps it's the want for some heat? In any case good luck and here's another bump on this thread.
Iloveoz
The heat and lifestyle is what's doing it for us. We have lived all over including Norway and perth always comes up trumps. The oil and gas link is another major factor with a lot of Norwegian firms having offices in perth. Guest SamC
I agree with iloveoz, heat and lifestyle are what are drawing us to Australia and I guess I am lucky that the oil and gas industry is growing in perth and my company are increasing numbers there. Iloveoz
Hi Paul and Ida, i saw there was a scandanavian club in perth. Scanclub.com.au? somthing like that....Thought it would be nice for 17 may celebrations etc! We will be living fairly central for the first few months, hoping subiaco, west perth type areas. My other half is in the oil and gas industry where there are a lot of Norwegian so I'm sure we'll meet some that way. Only a few weeks to go now, so excited! Guest IloveCrawleyWA
Hi there. I'm Swedish so I'm Scandinavian (although not Norwegian) and my other half is a pom. There is the Swedish Club of WA (which is BTW turning 40 this year). Happy to me up some time if you'd like. We live in Crawley which is close to the CBD.
