Admin
Haven't read anything saying that you have to register with a teachers board to lecture at TAFE. You'd need a police check, Working with children check etc. I believe a minimum requirement that needs to be met is having a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or be prepared to obtain the qualification with the first 2 years) If you don't have the qualification you can only teach 'under the direct supervision with regular guidance, support and direction of a person who has these vocational and training competencies and who monitors and is accountable for the training delivery'. Obviously there's other requirements with regards vocational skills and or current industry skills.

I have most of this, so once I am out there I will get the WCC. )
Rossmoyne
Not sure about registering with the Teachers Registration Board, so it might be worth checking with them. http://www.trb.wa.gov.au/ They are a very new organisation (started December last year taking over from West Australian College of Teaching - WACOT) so conditions maybe different to how it was with WACOT.
