ailey
Hi my family move to perth in 3 weeks! I have a 6 year old son and 3 year old daughter. She is too young for kindy and I wondered about pre school activities /groups for her and I to go to? Not sure where we will be living, hoping for somewhere fairly central like near city beach. Renting in applecross for the first 6 weeks. Over here we go to trampolining and swimming. Are there certain areas that are more likely to have these kinds of groups? Thanks
Sal
There's a parents paper that comes out once a month I think - free one, that lists all the activities. large IGA often have them. Few things in the western subrbs but other places have them - toy library worth joining so you can borrow toys, Lords sports centre in Subiaco has sports for preschoolers - and a creche if you want to exercise, Challenge Stadium use to do sports for preschoolers and they are have several in and outdoor pools and will do swimming lessons. Beatty Park North Perth is a bit more child freindly for swimming lessons, most pools do them. My son use to do Kindermusic for 3 year olds and enjoyed that. Gymbaroo is like Tumble Tots - google it. Then there's loads of dance/drama activities - Stage coach (singing acting dancing), again there is a place next to Lords that does dance lessons for little people! Challenge Stadium may do trampolining - I know we had two WA girls who went to the olympics and they trained somewhere in Perth - probably at challenge stadium. Horse riding can be done at Claremont Showgrounds. Just a few ideas.
