Plimthing
I'm into VW's, old ones of the air cooled variety, so I tinker with those in my spare time. I also do servicing on any other cars, so if you don't want to be ripped off by the locals, you pay for the parts and I accept beer as payment! I'm arriving in 2 days, my tools arrive in 7 weeks(hopefully). Also I love aviation, driving, beeches, music gosh loads really. Would like to get as fit as I was when in forces, but I think those days have gone.... I like the sound of star gazing, I could go for that I think! Bibbs
Pleanty about in WA as well. If ever your in spain, you should get down to Almeria and in the desert are the mock town they built for the spagetti westerns - all still sat there. My step-sister lives down the road from one of the sites. Never went in and had a look though. Love that part of Spain though. I used to be into cars. Spend all year tinkering and spend a week at the Nurburgring every year or tooling up a 4x4 for a summer of pay&play. Problem is cars are so expensive here they are not really "toy" status. So I've not really got a hobby anymore, but really feel I should have. All i seem to do is watch Australia lose at sport since I've been here. Nikkis2000
Dug out this thread because I tried Paddle-boarding for the first time today in the "balmy" waters of North Devon. I have surfed here a few times and definitely preferred the paddle-boarding. Is there much of a scene over there does anyone know? It could be something I could get quite into! There are lots of places offering lessons; Fremantle and Scarborough both have a number of people providing courses. A for hang gliding, these guys should be able to help http://www.flywa.com.au
