SadieBacon
Hi Diane A White Setter is a plasterer that puts on the final coat (skim coat). They mix bags of lime and some hardwall (think thats what it's called), it's pretty watery too.Your hubby will definately need experience in this as it's so different from the UK. Most times you'll find that one squad will do the floating and another will do the setting. My OH started off floating but then got into setting, he found it easier and the money was a bit better too. He was on metre rate a few years ago, it was $7m then but I think it's down to around the $6 mark now. Any questions feel free to ask.... SadieBacon
Also just to let you know I've spoken to a guy I know who owns a Plastering Contracting firm in Perth, he has said that work is very steady at the minute and the builders have said that there is work picking up within the next 6 weeks.....
