Wulber78
Good morning we are gathering all the docs needed for submitting to anmac and my wife who works in AAU thinks that we should be applying under the ANZCO code 254499 NEC. I am just wondering has anyone had any problems applying under this ANZCO code or had any big delays due to this?
Cliomarie
Hi , Have just seen this post and although i have my original transcripts i was wondering how you manages to get the hours of theory/ practice as i am guessing i will need that too! I see you obviously did it from your happy picture! We are near adelaide at the moment on my husbands 457 visa but it is only a year at the moment so am picking up from here what I started back in the uk in applying for pr visa as a nurse.. going to stick with same agent as she seems to really know her stuff and she has all my details and certified bits etc so far! Will Have to fly to adelaide though for medical and academic ielts... how did you get on with that?!! I am so nervous as want this so much! I have a two year old who is a different boy out here! Would be so great to have someone who has been through it to ask for advice.. my employment history has been mostly agency since I had my son but I took a 6 mothnpost before we flew out here to make up some hours and so I could get a thorough reference.. anyway will stop waffling and hopefully hear from you soon! :-) feel better even typing my worries away!! travelchic
Hi clio. I did my assessment offshore. I think the process is different if you're doing it onshore. So i can't advise you. Have a look on the ANMAC website. I am sure that i have read on a forum that if you do it onshore you don't have to do ielts x
aza870
hi could does anyone know how many points you get for the skills assesment? i am applying for a 189 visa and im a qualified carpenter thanks!
travelchic
It all depends on how many years you are being assessed on. I think it's 5 points for 3 years, 10 points for 5 years. Not sure how many points you get over that. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Debs

Ashlenelouise
Hi there. Have sent my skills assessment docs to ANMAC and haven't heard anything. Do they normally let you know that they have received them or do they only contact you if they need further info. I sent them almost 2 weeks ago. I am not panicking. Just wondered. Debs Did you have to get any of your payslips certified for proof of employment when you sent it all off? Xx
VJ Ca
Hooray I have had wonderful news today! Skills assessment granted. Yippee. Agent has being busy and also sent my Expression of interest off today as well. Can't believe it, things have started happening and suddenly it all feels very real! Yikes Hi Can I ask what agency you used and how much did it cost ? Thanks.
sami c
Hi there, just wondering u wouldnt know if as a self employed dental hyg will tax accounts suffice instead of payslips. Derbygirl42
my oh was self employed and we sent tax recirds, letter from accountant basically confirming what his trade was how long he had done his accounts. We also sent three professional references (he's a plasterer so we sent builders he had worked for) assume be good if you good get references fom dental practises you have worked for previously. Our assessment was through TRA which I believe is one of the worst so we sent so much supplementary evidence - suppliers invoices, 9 customer references, advertising etc. You probably won't need all this though. Good luck. Hi there, just wondering as a self employed dental hyg will tax accounts suffice instead of payslips. Thanks, great thread just trying to read through it all so apologies if been answered x
