Monkeylloyd
Hi deb, i spoke to the head of nursing at my college. I found when I went straight to the top and told her it was for ANMAC she knew she needed to do a in depth breakdown of our course in nursing. Up until then I had being dealing with general office and they kept getting it wrong. I work in north Wales, but live near Chester. Keep your chin up debs, I know how your feeling! I was so frustrated a few weeks ago. But finally things re moving again and that's made me excited again. Xxxx

pegg
Hi Debs just a quickie did you have all your docs certified by a notory public ? as sooooo expensive just in process in getting paperwork sorted myself. Lisa.
travelchic
Yeah pegg. Has to be a notary. Well it did for mine which was ANMAC. Mine cost £85 at a private firm. However, I have heard of people going to their local court to have it done for much less, or free in some cases. Check out your local court. Don't forget to have the wording that is required to be written on it as sometimes they can be a bit anal lol Debs
Redsquare
ANMAC accepted docs signed by our visa agents. Assuming that the list of acceptable signatories is the same as APHRA you can get them signed by a magistrate. We spent half a day in court and only paid £25 for a stack of documents. Redsquare
Pegg: give your local court a call first. Go as soon as it opens and ask to speak to the clerk of the court. Some will ask you to stay, others will ask you to pick them up in the afternoon. If you stay, you might have to wait around for a couple of hours. We spent our time guessing what people were in for

This should be done after your visa application has been lodged with a view to obtaining the certificate when you arrive in Australia. Since 1st July 2010 registration is done on a national basis and entitles you to nurse anywhere in Australia. The Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia website for the registration application form AGOS-04 is http://www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov.au/Forms.aspx The ANMAC will only accept an application for a skill assessment that is lodged on-line. This is a simple process and can easily be done by you. Once you have completed the application and made payment you will receive a confirmation document which needs to be printed out and signed by you in front of a solicitor. When you have done this please send it to us together with the required documentation. We will check the application and courier the documentation to Australia for you. Full assessment (Cost A$850) For nurses and midwives who hold a current license/eligibility/registration to practise outside Australia, but do not currently hold registration in Australia and wish to migrate. Modified assessment (Cost A$300) For nurses and midwives who hold current registration and a practising license in a State or Territory of Australia or New Zealand Correctly Certifying Documents Follow the guidelines below to have your documents correctly certified. If your documents are incorrectly certified they will be returned to you. It is suggested that the person who certifies your application form is the same person who certifies all of your documents. As mentioned above, the confirmation of your online application also needs to be signed in front of a solicitor, so it is recommended you do this at the same time as certifying your identity documents. Listed below are the only people who can certify documents submitted to the ANMAC: Legal Practitioner Notary Public Justice of the Peace Peace Commissioner Commissioner of Declarations Commissioner of Oaths Judge Magistrate Person legally designated to sign documents from an embassy or consulate When certifying documents, the above person needs to include the following statement on each document; You should plan to have your documentation certified and the application form signed at the same time. At the completion of the assessment, a ‘Letter of Determination' finding the applicant suitable or not suitable for migration purposes will be posted to the applicant or their nominated agent if this applies. This ‘Letter of Determination' should be included with your application to DIAC and is the document you require as your evidence of a Migration Skills Assessment. pegg
Hi, I was informed that you do not have to do an ILETS test if you have completed 5 years study in the UK for example secondary school, college and uni. As long as you have the certificates to proof this is the case then you don't need the test.
travelchic
Hi pegg. I can only comment on ANMAC applications. You have to do the academic IELTS for the ANMAC skills assessment. It may be different if your having your skills assessed by another body. Are you a nurse? Debs

Guest pinkroses
Hi I am a paediatric nurse from the UK currently in Perth on a 457 visa. We are wanting to apply for PR using the 189 visa. I am currently trying to work out the process of applying for my skills assessment with ANMAC and would realy appreciate some help. My biggest worry is my references, I have seen the guidelines but am not sure what to write and with me being in oz its so hard to chase people! secondly, I cant work out what else I need to submit to ANMAC, I have gathered the following: - Passport - Birth Cert - Marriage Cert (change of name) - Uni Degree Cert - Uni Transcript - Professional references - AWAITING - NMC intial Registration - Passport Photos Is there anything I am missing? Also I got all my docs certified by a JP when I applied for my APHRA in Augst last year, I got 2 copies done so have a spare do you think they will be ok to submit to ANMAC or will I need to get them certified again? and do my professional references need to be certified? Is the certifying format the same as it is for AHPRA? i.e " i certify this to be the true likeness of the original" (or something like that) Thank you for any help/advice!
