jamesw
There are a few pubs in Mandurah that are quite lively on a Friday and Saturday night. Also, a lot of people of that age travel up to Northbridge by train for a night out. As for driving, then I would recommend a car for her as the local bus service stops early evening and isn't the best coverage area

Give me a break!
There are a few nightclubs in Mandurah too. Also Murphys & and the Brighton Hotel seem to attract the young ones ( god I'm old haha)
StraighttothePoint
not yet . she doesnt mind just having 1 drink ,just likes to socialise and dance all night. If I was a betting man........... If she is that young, and that is her thing, then I would perhaps get prepared to have one, very bored 18 year old on your hands. Mandurah, nightclubs and excitement all in one sentence - seriously, really... Edited May 3, 2013 by StraighttothePoint
verystormy
I love Mandurah, lived there 5 years. But it really isnt the place for an 18 year old. There is one proper nightclub called Liquid. A few bars and thats about it. Most of the younger crowd jump on the train to Perth. Though, Perth isnt the most happening place in the world and there is good reason why a lot of young perth crowd cant wait to jump on a plane to somewhere else. Luke Wareing
Iv been here 2 weeks now, iv been out once and not again until I find a job.. Was only out for 4 hours had to come home because I had no money... You're talking about $20 a round for two of us... Crazily expensive, it's much cheaper to by from a bottle shop and either stay in and have a few or drink before you go out

Luke Wareing
Hi how old are you ? Where are u staying in mandurah and its expensive every where. Hello, I'm 20 I'm actually living north of the river your a bit further down but iv had a few drinks in mandurah while visiting before and there are a few nice pubs & bars but it's hardly the place to be, iv been out twice now and both time gone into the city, it's not ideal if you don't don't have anywhere to stay or don't want to get the last train home and taxis are quite expensive but that's prob her best bet if she really wants a good night out :-) don't get me wrong she could go out in mandurah and still have a good time but she might find it different from home Oh and expense wise, once your working it doesn't seem to bad but compared to the UK iv spent on average twice as much on nights out :-) Edited June 9, 2013 by Luke Wareing
StraighttothePoint
Correct Luke it is only expensive to those people who cannot afford it.
